Why should I always take and replace the whole notebook or laptop all around the home when I only need to read a book in my bed before sleeping? I am a book-addicted, and also my apartment is so small (no space for keeping 700 books). Also, I need to underline and comment and even edit and abstract my readen books, and I like to do these when I'm in my bed! It also would be helpful for people with some disabilities.bostich commented on Wireless Tablet Monitorbostichhttps://www.salesforce.com/00a70000004N7iuAACThere are a few kinks to work out, battery life would surely be an issue, and under $500 might not be doable. The idea of a wireless monitor however is potentially a good one. I'm sure Wacom would do it first though (Wireless Cintiq).bennish commented on Wireless Tablet Monitorbennishhttps://www.salesforce.com/00a70000004N7zqAACarhere, we're not talking about a regular lcd. it would have its own power saving. yeah, they're just gonna whack a battery on a STANDARD lcd... you've obviously heard of laptops, get your head out of the sand please.
and it's 'latter' not 'later'aikiwolfie commented on Wireless Tablet Monitoraikiwolfiehttps://www.salesforce.com/00a70000004N7zyAACMaybe someone doesn't like cables all over the place?arhere commented on Wireless Tablet Monitorarherehttps://www.salesforce.com/00a70000004N80AAASIs this a real product or an idea for Dell to design and sell one? If the later, then BAD idea. A typical LCD touchscreen consumes 50-60watts, more then a typical laptop LCD. Throw in a wireless circuit for constant data streaming and a large battery pack you MIGHT get 30 to 60 minutes of monitor life. After that it will need to be plugged in, so why not leave it plugged in all the time since it is probably not going to fit in someones lap.
I honestly have no idea why someone wants a monitor to be wireless. Wireless is for portable options, and the only way that makes sense is to make the PC wireless too, and then you have...a laptop! <shrug>
Sorry to Nay-Say your idea.
