Give all N models the same hardware customization options as the identical non-N options Dell, Dell Web Site, Desktops, Dimension products, Inspiron products, Linux, Small Business, XPS products, Desktops and Laptops, Laptops submitted by laptoplinux 9:52am Why is it that the hardware customization options on N models are not identical to the non-N models. For example, the Inspiron 530 and the 530N. The 530 has an option for a wireless internet card. The 530N does not. There are other discrepancies between what is offered on the 530 and what is no offered on the 530N. These are the exact same machines. Same case. Same processor options. Same memory options. Same hard drive options. Yet somethings are left out of the 530N. Why is it this way? Why can they be just as easily on the 530N as well? Don't they come of the same or similar enough assembly line? As D630 user, I find my self use the laptop as desktop for days (when I'm not on the roads). Concerning Microsoft's New Policy of “Vista ONLY” Operating Systems submitted by freedom_man 1:54am
Within the last few weeks , I heard a radio news broadcast that said that from now on Microsoft will be shipping ONLY Vista to computer makers and that Microsoft will also no longer be selling Windows XP at retail. Service and Support submitted by hagure Yesterday
Stop exporting customer service. A customer service representative in the same country as the customer is much better equipped to understand the needs/wants of the customer. It's also just good PR. New Product Ideas submitted by sdweddington Jul 12 Create a fingerprint reader for retailers. make the reader coinside with their credit or debit cards. I think this would stop idenity theft(a great precentage). When the customer runs thier cards, the fingerprint will have to match the buyers. Then maybe this could even go for bank tranactions. this would create an convenience for alot of consumers. It would actually have to be put in financial institues first. 4 Comments » dell website of july 2008 needs to be chang its to hard to find any thing Dell Web Site submitted by skyler814 Jul 11 i like it the way it was in 07 every thing was their and easy to find i thing dell should really put this in to consideration 7 Comments » Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Dell Web Site submitted by playmariokong Jul 11 Many key components during the purchase process are missing photos (e.g. I want to see a photo of the video card! I want to know if it supports dual monitors!) If I'm spending money, the least you can do is supply close-ups of each component prior to purchase. Even a grainy, 2MP digital camera shot would be plenty sufficient. 1 Comment » Make 7200 RPM 320GB HD (& other critical items) available on XPS Laptops in Europe XPS products, Laptops submitted by pwl2706 Jul 10
It seems that mnany components that are available in the US are not available in Europe... Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by gautam 02/16/07 The Dell Axim PDA is not super-popular, but I think if it moved into the SmartPhone realm (especially in order to compete with upcoming iPhone) then it could pick up some market-share and be a great device for US cell phone providers. 92 Comments » Make it easier to clean the Fans on laptops Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by pwl2706 Jul 10
It is very difficult to clean the fans on laptops...and the more dust that builds up over time increases the heat inside. promote dell's pcs with linux to develop the demand Advertising and Marketing submitted by siger Jul 7 promote dell's pcs with linux to develop the demand 7 Comments » Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by shadow010 Jul 7 **IMPLEMENTED**

As a corporate customer I like Dell's products and my USA customer support. I have read the web about all the people that have had problems with Dell customer service and mine and others are not isolated incidences. If you want people to be loyal take a hint from the corporate sales and give Home users even a little customer support. My corporate help does not read scripts, they have the power to take ownership and fix the problem. Granted I do buy Gold support. If Dell thinks it saves money for bad support; I have personally talked 20 or 30 people out of buying a Dell. Laptops submitted by badblood Jul 6

Why isn't stuff like this hyped by Dell's Marketing and PR firms. Dell Linux Cluster with 5,840 processors at the Texas Advanced Computing Center in Austin, performed laser surgery on a dog without the intervention of a surgeon. When I read articles like that, my reaction is *OH WOW, DELL REALLY IS A HIGH TECH COMPANY* rather than just the budget wintel clone company that most people see it as. 1 Comment » Advertising and Marketing, Gaming submitted by gamer128 Jul 6 You know what I think? I think that Dell should be more involved with gaming. They already have one of the greatest o buy desktops ever, the XPS 630. Plus more gamers would want to buy from Dell. Maybe even hosts their own gaming competitions for XBOX LIVE. 7 Comments » Operating Systems submitted by gamer128 Jul 6 On PCWorld and PCMag, they say that when Windows is loaded onto an Apple, Windows runs faster! That is a big shame to all Windows fans. I mean if Dell could make all their computers run as fast as possible, without their preloaded junk, which I'm pretty sure that's what makes it go slow, then consumers, especially gamers would start to consider Dell's computers 33 Comments » track my votes
