Fully Upgradeable Laptop

Laptops submitted by badblood 05/19/07

Produce a Laptop where everything can be upgraded. Asus is doing it - and here it is:

You name it: Processor, LCD, hard drive, memory, graphics card, optical drive -- take the old one out and put a new component it, all within minutes. The notebook is designed around the core principle of it being easy to upgrade.

Maybe you already have a flexible computer like this one? 9 Comments »

Use magsafe power connectors

Laptops, Laptop Power submitted by badblood 05/20/07 **UNDER REVIEW**

MagSafe power connectors, by Apple, are magnetic power connectors that pull out harmlessly when the cord is tripped upon.

They are very cool and quite sensible.

Better Notebook sound and features

Laptops submitted by foxx 02/17/07

I was looking for a high end notebook for video editing. Every Dell model I looked at was missing something essential.

Most serious is the lousy sound. I can understand for low end notebooks, but high end need A REAL SOUND CARD. I would have been willing to buy a sound card, but that required a PCMCIA slot and you had elimintated those. I gave up.

Laptop design - use different materials

Environment, Laptops submitted by badblood 05/28/07

Dell laptop designs are fine, functional and they are OK to look at. They are not Macs in design terms but who really gives a crap.

It might be nice though to use different materials, such as ceramic compounds, brushed aluminum, rubbers-edges, and as reg offered ages ago bamboo. 3 Comments »

Create Drop Off-Pick Up Service Centers in Major Areas

Service and Support submitted by badblood 05/29/07

That way we don't have to call India when we having it repaired in Tennessee, we don't have to ship it anywhere (and worry about it all the time), nor do we have it delivered when we are out, and left on the driveway to be destroyed by rain and squirrels.

If you don't feel like setting up your own centers, we can drop off and pick up at Wal Mart (or some other national equivalent). That'd be Ok too. 13 Comments »

Give Dell employees BETTER SALARIES so they can experience the customer

Dell submitted by badblood 06/04/07

Apparently Dell employees don't get enough discounts on Dell products. So it's time to give Dell employees BETTER SALARIES so they will more frequently buy Dell computers and can experience the customer experience...
