see comment from Erik down below... [Dell's Pricing Team] Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptop Power submitted by fcnc05 02/16/07 I have a Dell 17in notebook and I love it. Don't mind to carry around at all. But haveing to unplug, wind up all the cables and pack the power brick together really annoys me. So It would be very nice if dell make available for the large form factor laptop (at least the 17 and 20in) a power brick the same size of the battery, so I could replace it (an internal power supply). A retractable power cord inside would be a plus. Even better if had 1 or 2 batteries cells inside so it could give a 15minutes for emergencies. Why have 6 or 9 cells...it barely gives me one hour anyway....This kind of notebook really is a Desktop replacement, so why bother about batteries? Get rid of the power suplly and it would be MUCH better! 14 Comments » Offer 8400M GT on the XPS M1330 not the current GS Version! XPS products submitted by tolkan 07/10/07
The Why offer the GS Which is much weaker than the GT Version. By offering the GT version the M1330 would be the best of performance and work. Considering that the 8400M GT is referred to as an under clocked 8600M GS. I really want to purchase the XPS M1330 so please Promote this. If there is currently another idea on this topic please do tell me so i can promote. Desktops and Laptops submitted by logi 02/16/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**

Get the latest and faster processors into your notebooks Dell seems to be six month behind competition in bringing new designs to market on pretty much everything laptop. Allow us the new Intel Processors in notebooks competitors already have them HP Sell DELL Products on NEWEGG.com Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Dimension products, Sales Strategies, Desktops and Laptops submitted by thomasp94 Jan 24
I do all my companies IT shopping at 2 places, 90% at NEWEGG and the rest at DELL. Most of the products I buy at dell are monitors, toner, and other accessories. It would be really great if I could buy Dell products at Newegg. It would be more convenitent, it would save on tax and shipping as well. Newegg is also MUCH faster than Dell at shipping, I can usually get my order in 1-2 days after placing it, compared to a week or more from Dell. I'm not really talking about whole systems, more like... XPS products submitted by bryan14c Jan 11

dell should implement a Core 2 extreme processor as an option for the XPS 1330 and 1530 and a first quad core notebook , because the high end models have this , why not on the 1330 and 1530 XPS is high end right? and also why stick to 8600gt that there is a 8700gt or above graphics card , well the XPS 1530 and 1330 overall design is great slim light, well as an addition dell should also implement a PENRYN processor Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Sales Strategies, Desktops and Laptops submitted by rarmasu 02/21/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
I find myself many, many times in dark or poorly lit environments having to guess the various keys - would be fantastic to have a backlit keyboard - with backlit individual keys as the best option. Desktops and Laptops submitted by bryan14c Jan 9
Dell should start to sell notebook with Penryn processor because it require less power more performance XPS products submitted by nosintake 02/21/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
I think there should be a 15" XPS laptop. There are plenty of companies that have a 15" "gaming laptop". I think there should be a Dell XPS with a rotating camera, 1GB RAM, Blu-Ray player, and 80GB hard drive standard. M1730 should look more like the M1330 XPS products submitted by saleemohaib 08/16/07
I saw the pics of the upcoming Dell XPS M1730 laptop. I was really disappointed. I was not expecting something so ugly from Dell. By the way you can view the pics on this link: Inspiron products, Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by gautam 02/16/07 Extend the coupon offers for all XPS notebook systems as well as the normal Inspiron line. I think theyre needs to be another 15.4" size XPS system, currently the XPS lineup has no middle ground, theres either the m1210 which is too small, or the m1710 which is too large ( I dont count the m2010, since its not really a laptop, its more of its own hybrid desktop/laptop comptuer thing) use the e1505 chassis, give it the cool XPS lights, and a D-dock connectior below XPS M1330 needs to be more price competitive with Apple Macbook Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by hephaestus 07/04/07 I was looking over the recently introduced Dell XPS M1330 notebook, which was so clearly introduced to compete with Apple's Macbook, and I noticed there's a significant cost delta for what seems like little difference in offerings. If you compare the base model Macbook at 2.0GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, it's $1,174 and a comparably equipped Dell M1330 is $1,474. What's the deal? They don't look much different on paper. Is it Vista driving up the cost? I'd rather have OS X and my $300. Dell needs to be competitive in both product quality and price. 9 Comments » Push SSD in notebooks esp the 1330 Sales Strategies, XPS products, Laptops submitted by 500moldschool 08/15/07
Solid State Drives (SSD) are the way to go. I am in the market to replace my old trusty 500m from 4 years ago. However, I have found few laptops that are really worth replacing my trusty 4.9lb laptop with. Newer laptops are no doubt better, but in the range of the portable non-desktop replacing market I have been disappointed. Monitors and Displays, Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by mike2912 09/27/07 The new 1730 looks alright but for the price why does it not have an LED display for better color and less power consumption? Start making computers with LED displays. 2 Comments » XPS M1330 with Gigabit Ethernet Broadband and Mobility, XPS products, Laptops submitted by macavity 07/11/07

Would be beneficial. Because you have this site and the Direct2Dell blog site, you can gather customer response to product you are about to release in a few months time. It'll help to somewhat streamline manufacturing as you'll be able to figure the mean preference of consumers. track my votes
