LED backlight TFT-Displays (for laptops)

Monitors and Displays, Laptops submitted by svenmeyer 02/20/07

If you use your laptop for a while, you will notice already after a few months that the brightness of the display decreases, the color changes, what was white a the beginning starts to look more blueish or greenish ... all this could be avoided with LEDs instead of flourescent lamps as backlight. Also the save power and distribute the light more evenly across the screen.
I'm not buying a new laptop until it has LED backlight (and HMDI/DVI ports). I'm not willing to spend another $2000-3000 only to see my display fade away after a few months ... 3 Comments »

Dell should transition all monitors to LED back lighting. More cost effective (in terms of energy use), greener, longer life. 11 Comments »

Use LED backlighting for LCD and Laptop Screens

Monitors and Displays submitted by abester 02/21/07

Brighter screens, with more colors, longer life and lower power utilization! Don't see much of a downside to this. Let's get rid of florescents, or move to OLED. 4 Comments »

ZERO Noise Water Cooling Laptops

Environment, New Product Ideas submitted by ruvenss 05/28/07

Make a cooling system with less decibels than any other Laptop on the market. Use cooling materials, as an option, so customers can choose to pay more for a non noisy laptop.

A cooling system for every part of the laptop, even sharing the weight of the components on the screen side,. imagine a flat battery on the whole LCD screen back, now with that free space on the chassis you can split the harware components so they can breath better, also include a flat gel cooling system, to improve performance, battery life, and reduce the noise as much as possible. 20 Comments »
