Dell Web Site submitted by badblood 07/11/07
The Dell Website is among the most boring on the web today. I suppose it's efficient, clean, doesn't use too much bandwith, etc, etc, etc,, but god it's boring. Sometimes I go there to buy computers but just fall asleep mid way through, head on keyboard, snoring away.....I am bored just writing about it..... Take the configurator thing...god it's boring. Not only is it boring but it's annoying as you are pushed to buy stuff you don't want or need. Sales Strategies, Simplify IT submitted by beefman 02/23/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
Purchasing from Dell at present is immensely confusing. From home buyers to corporate purchases, simply purchasing a computer is a struggle when one is trying to achieve the best value. In the drive to serve every segment of the market, Dell has become balkanized and fragmented. Stop changing the support website Dell Web Site submitted by flasheypants 06/13/07

Business Support - Premier Account ID Service and Support, Simplify IT submitted by janmetdepet 02/21/07 Every time I call Business Support I have to spell my name, email, address... Result: emails are often not delivered to me. If my Premier account would have an ID, it would be possible for Business Support to get my credentials automatically. This saves me and Dell a lot of time! And it is correct every time! 1 Comment » Status of Orders on Premier Page Dell Web Site, Simplify IT submitted by dwilliam_houston 07/29/07 Want to be able to get status of open orders on the Premier page without having to enter information about the order. If Im logged into my premier page that should be enough to get my order informatio Comment » Service and Support submitted by cajunspike 04/09/07 I'm sure all the problems that are called into Dell are stored in some type of database. Instead of having to call Dell every time you have a problem, make the problem resolution database web enabled. Customers could do a search for whatever error message or problem they have and possibly find a resolution on their own without having to play phone tag. If something like this already exists, then make it more publicly known. 2 Comments » Get GNU/Linux Machines in Retail Stores Linux submitted by dpic Feb 14 Imagine how successful Dell's Ubuntu offering could be if just one Dell Ubuntu machine was put in retail stores. If people knew of an alternative to Windows, they would go for it! So what do you say, Dell? Why don't you try to put at least one of your Ubuntu machines offered in retail stores? 736 Comments » Dell Community submitted by jdelidc Mar 8 so i've been in stormroom/forum looking at the problems people are having with their machines and i've been asked 2x so far just tonight (it's 1137pm here) to do a customer satisfaction survey. not to mention almost every time i'm over there it asks me to do one. could we get a little note on the servers somewhere that says "this screen name has already been asked this week so hold off on asking again"?gets annoying after a while 6 Comments » Dell Web Site, Linux submitted by smarsen Mar 8

Would love the ability to have a clean Vista install. No AOL software, no earthlink software, no google software - just a clean, original OS. track my votes
