Have Michael Dell try actually buying a PC using Dell.com Dell Web Site submitted by onethumb 02/16/07 I think he'd quickly see that the customer experience could use a lot of work. 23 Comments » "Help Me Choose" is often inaccurate Dell Web Site submitted by davhef 02/17/07 **COMING SOON** Very often the "Help Me Choose" feature does not include the actual items available for that system. Fix it! 10 Comments » Bring the website into the 21st century - make it beautiful Dell Web Site submitted by foobar 02/18/07
Dell likes to tout that their web site does more commerce than Ebay, Google and Amazon combined. Great, but it's boring and very coporate-America-1990's in its look and feel. It is a positive pleasure to use Amazon while navigating Dell's website is an exercise in ugly, staid and depressing utilitarianism. Bring in a recommendations engine, a fresh new look and a consumer friendly interface and you may just find sales increasing big time. People should want to stay on Dell's website not escape quickly. Organize the sales pages by need, not product line Dell Web Site submitted by sernovitz 02/03/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
The Dell shopping experience is all about Dell -- not the user. Currently, you have to walk through each product line, narrow by model, etc. Sales Strategies submitted by will0861 02/19/07 Please simplify the pricing. I am sick of seeing the same computer with different pricing on different days. What's worse is that on different pages within the website you can find different pricing for the same system, with the same spec. Comment » Ditch the Home/Small Business/Enterprise trichotomy Sales Strategies, Small Business, Laptops submitted by majid 02/17/07
What products I am interested in do not correlate with myself or my company size. It used to be that high-end thin-and-light laptops would not be available in the Home segment, only the Enterprise segment. I'm sorry, just because I am a small-business owner or a home user does not mean I am ready to settle for inferior options deemed "good enough" by the powers that be. track my votes
