People may not realize that Vista gives your computer a performance rating based on several factors (processor, RAM, hard drive and video card). 87 Comments » Offer more configurations with 64 bit Windows Vista Operating Systems, Desktops and Laptops submitted by hbruun Feb 21 Please begin to offer desktop and laptop configurations preinstalled with 64 bit versions of Windows Vista. 1 Comment » Stop treating the XPS M1530 as a poor relative of the M1330 Linux, XPS products submitted by pjeff Feb 20

Dell should start to sell notebook with Penryn processor because it require less power more performance Give XPS Notebooks Gigabit Ethernet XPS products submitted by croftki Feb 17 I understand that Dell market research says home users in general are not interested in gigabit ethernet for home networks. Those who pay for the premium design in the XPS line, however, are more likely to want gigabit ethernet. I would rather buy something more exciting than a business class notebook, but I want to build on my home technology with each purchase I make. XPS Notebooks unfortunately do not help me do this. It seems my only option is to buy a Latitude. 28 Comments » Tell us what WiFi chipset a laptop has. Tell us the WiFi chipset used in a laptop before we buy it so we know if the WiFi chipset supports a feature we want, or if it supports Linux or another operating system that we intend to use. The WiFi chipset being like "Intel ipw2200" or "Broadcom BCM4306", or "Ralink rt2500". Software submitted by ootleman 02/16/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
Would love the ability to have a clean Vista install. No AOL software, no earthlink software, no google software - just a clean, original OS. Monitors and Displays, Laptop Power submitted by yardsale Jan 16 I dont know why dell hasnt done this yet. switch all monitors on desktops and notebooks to LED. did you know that you can run an LED screen at full brightniess and it uses less power than a LCD monitor at the lowest brighting level?!? its cheaper, its energy efficent, and it needs to be done! promote this, if you demote i wanna know why! 63 Comments » XPS products submitted by mstmd 11/28/07 well the XPS 1530 HAS ARRIVED. lOW WEIGHT, GREAT VIDEO CARD AND PROCESSOR OPTIONS, NOT SO GOOD SCREEN. CCFL WITH LOWER END DEFINITION. FIX THIS AND YOU HAVE A GREAT MACHINE 3 Comments » submitted by fezdell 12/02/07 Gigabit ethernet should be standard on all XPS notebooks. 2 Comments » submitted by fezdell 12/02/07 Has Dell considered turning the tables on Apple by offering the ability to run Leopard on it's beautifully designed XPS range. I can't think of a better way to stop the migration of PC users to Apple based systems. 6 Comments » submitted by fezdell 12/02/07 For the new XPS M1530, a LED screen should be available, preferably standard as with the MacBook Pro. The screen resolution should also be available in resolutions higher than 1280 x 800 to take full advantage of the blu-ray disc drive. 1 Comment » Advertising and Marketing submitted by stevea 12/04/07
I was deeply saddened to see the Dell advertisement in today's Wall Street Journal (12/4/07). The ad struck me as insensitive and misogynistic, presenting the image of an attractive woman in a short skirt with the computer screen suggestively between her legs. Monitors and Displays submitted by drew08867 06/28/07 Dell should transition all monitors to LED back lighting. More cost effective (in terms of energy use), greener, longer life. 11 Comments » XPS products, Laptops submitted by avnanda 11/27/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
