Windows Server 2008 -- Instead of Vista Operating Systems, Desktops and Laptops submitted by jordann Jul 26
Pressure Microsoft to allow the distribution of a workstation version of Windows Server 2008 in place of Vista on certain desktops and laptops which will be used by "power users". You would need to arrange for a lower license fee, of course (most users would not be willing to pay the current $1000 price tag). Deliver to the customer servers that are already configured for their intended use. Software, Laptops submitted by jordann 02/25/07
It would also be nice to have a "Presentation Mode" button. When pressed, this would extend the desktop onto the externally connected monitor. This would make it so that a presentation program, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, could use the secondary display for the show. It would also activate a "Presentation Mode" theme in Windows. This theme would ensure that the screensaver is deactivated and that the unit will not stand by or power off until the presentation is over. Currently, I have to manually go through the steps so that my presentation will have a professional appearance. It would be nice for this to be simplified for help those who do not possess the knowledge and experience that I have. 1 Comment » |
