National Call Centers [and other Service Improvement Ideas] Service and Support submitted by henrieb 02/17/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
As a corporate customer I like Dell's products and my USA customer support. I have read the web about all the people that have had problems with Dell customer service and mine and others are not isolated incidences. If you want people to be loyal take a hint from the corporate sales and give Home users even a little customer support. My corporate help does not read scripts, they have the power to take ownership and fix the problem. Granted I do buy Gold support. If Dell thinks it saves money for bad support; I have personally talked 20 or 30 people out of buying a Dell. Why are Canadians charged more for the same product XPS products submitted by jman30 11/13/07 I priced an XPS 420 on dell.com and dell.ca and the american price was $500 cheaper than the Canadian price for the exact same computer. With the Canadian dollar higher than the US dollar US products should be cheaper not more expensive 14 Comments » XPS products, Laptops submitted by avnanda 11/27/07 **IMPLEMENTED**

Would love the ability to have a clean Vista install. No AOL software, no earthlink software, no google software - just a clean, original OS. Make Linux and no Operating system standard options on all future products Operating Systems submitted by jervis961 08/17/07 **REVIEWED**
OK Dell you have committed to supplying Linux options in limited form. Since you have laid the groundwork already here is the next step. Every new product you release that needs an Operating system should have Linux and also no Operating System as an option in the configuration along side Windows. Since you have to write drivers and test compatability for Vista when making a new product just make it compatable with Linux at the same time. There will no longer be a need for a seperate sections for Linux or no Operating system since all of the products will have the option. this will help make your site easier to navigate for you customers. You can also create an ACCURATE help me choose section for the OS choices. Operating Systems submitted by javaprog07 02/17/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
Ok, well I know I may be chastised for bringing this up, but vista is still a young operating system with its own problems etc... I would like to see both Home and Business computers, especially notebooks have an XP Home and Pro option on top of Vista until it has at least been out for a year. For those seasoned users like me who just feel that you need to let a new OS mature before jumping right in. I am planning on buying a new notebook, and I would like to insure I wont have to format it on arrival just to have XP. Advertise Graphics RAM correctly Advertising and Marketing submitted by joffe100 04/20/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
When we say we want to buy a 512Mb graphics card we really do want a 512Mb graphics card - not 512Mb with 256mb physical memory with 256mb shared! This is really BAD and misleading advertising - you do not see other RAM memory being sold 1Gb (512Mb physical, 512Mb shared!) Some purchasers already have subscriptions to anti-virus products that can be ported to new systems. Not having a 'no anti-virus' option on every system order page forces those users to essentially buy two licenses when only one machine will be used. Options Available in USA Should be Available Everywhere Dell, Sales Strategies submitted by icediver 07/10/07
I live in Canada and was under the impression that Dell offered the "No OS" option on all systems. I tried to order an Inspiron 1521 with no OS and was told I couldn't. An e-mail exchange with Dell customer service revealed that the option was only available for all systems in the USA. In Canada, and I assume in other countries as well, it is only an option for selected systems. Linux, Sales Strategies submitted by sorooros 08/14/07 How hard can it be to ship boxes north of the border? Dell.ca needs Linux option! 12 Comments » Operating Systems submitted by icantseeyou 02/21/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
From all of the press I have read it is plain that Vista is a big bomb. To buy the cheapest version I hear it isn't even as good as XP SP2. At the same time you need at least 4 Gig to run it. Offer other options... I don't care if it's Linux, XP, or a rat running on a wheel. Don't make us buy Vista. Add linux option to Canadian dell computers! Linux, Operating Systems submitted by furtivefelon 05/06/07 Please add linux option to computers sold to Canada! 11 Comments » No Limits! First example: The Germans are second class customers, because they don't get the same choices for Ubuntu Laptops as in the USA. We here in Switzerland are even third class customers, because we do not get an Ubuntu Laptop at all. Sell Linux PCs Worldwide - not only the United States Linux, Sales Strategies, Desktops and Laptops submitted by ergo 05/02/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
Dell has now decided to sell computers with Linux pre-installed. GREAT MOVE! But for the moment, it only concerns the US... Here outside the US, we can't wait to buy a pre-installed Linux Dell PC! Please sell Linux PCs worldwide! Ubuntu system should be sold in Canada Linux, Sales Strategies submitted by trosendal 05/07/07 Dell should consider a Northamerican wide launch of the Ubuntu PC not just in the US. This will create more hype and therefore sales. We want a Dell preloaded with Ubuntu in Canada. 12 Comments » XPS M1330 with Gigabit Ethernet Broadband and Mobility, XPS products, Laptops submitted by macavity 07/11/07
I think it would be really good for the M1330 to have Gigabit networking for various reasons. Dell, Simplify IT submitted by boolda 07/09/07 Threre is not point in sticking with old fast ethernet, particularly, when gigabit ethernet is so cheap. Use gigabit ethernet in all your products. 5 Comments » Make Gigabit Ethernet Standard on Notebooks Broadband and Mobility, Laptops submitted by techsage 02/24/07
This should be a given at the least for Small Business and above notebooks. Another option would be to at least allow an option for this with an additional charge. This feature is very important for those wishing to do quicker backups via the network (since this is faster than even via USB 2.0). Apple and Sony, if not others as well have this as standard at this point. XPS products, Laptops submitted by kennywrx 08/19/07
Dell XPS M1530 Laptops with webcam and HDMI outputs Laptops submitted by mvratnam 04/23/07 I would like Laptops with builtin Webcam and HDMI output. I see that highend XPS laptops come with Webcam, but why not with low ends ? TV tuner cards with HDMI please ? Otherwise HP seems to be winning this segment. 3 Comments » track my votes
