An external power-on button would be very handy for those of us (and I know there are many) who have their laptop attached to an external monitor for most of the time. Having to open it every time you need to boot up is quite annoying, especially if you keep the laptop on a storage shelf. I understand that a lock button of some sort may need to be implemented along with this, as when transporting the laptop the power button may accidently be pressed and powered on. |
