Dell, please make these connectors STANDARD on all upcoming XPS Desktops and Notebooks: Fix The Awful Volume Control & Media Buttons Buttons On The XPS M1330 Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by scubby May 11
The media control buttons are the biggest downfall of this product for a variety of reasons: Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by vanza Apr 25
The specs of the M1530 look great, but there are some enhancements that would make it much better. A few that have been already proposed: Offer Killer Gaming Network Cards on the XPS line-up for US and Canada Desktops, Gaming, XPS products submitted by junior May 17
Dell, Start offering the Killer Gaming Network cards like the K1 or M1. Better than Gigabit Ethernet, I think anyway. These cards should be an option for all XPS Desktops in the US and Canada. Offer an XPS 12" inch notebook Again Sales Strategies, XPS products, Laptops submitted by nsenman May 16 I used to have the m1210 and m710 laptop notebooks and they were great machines to tote around. Include great specs like the m1210 had. give such things as a strong video card, HDMI, 1394, 3 or more USB ports, swivel webcam, fingerprint reader, etc. You created an awesome performing notebook in the m1210 but it wasn't stylish enough like the m1330. Create an awesome 12'' designer laptop and people will buy it. 7 Comments » gives a higher graphic card for 15 inch XPS laptop Gaming, XPS products submitted by hanlya May 6 it is better if Dell offer a gaming product with high graphic in 15 inch laptop..for example m1530..dell should offer for an additional better video card such as 8800Gt or 8700 GT..and this m1530 will be like kaboom...1 of the best 15 inch laptop ever build..so i suggest dell put additional option for higher graphic or just build a new product 15 inch laptop with gaming characteristic..or maybe m1535..with a better video card.. 2 Comments » 8GB of RAM capacity on M1730. C'mon Dell, you already offer it in Precision M6300 Sales Strategies, XPS products, Laptops submitted by kanoneno May 12
Please make posible upgrading to 8GB of RAM on the M1730, and also offer 64 bit Vista so we can really take advantage of the memory. I mean, 4 GB is kind of new, but 64 bit applications are starting to emerge and soon 4 GB wont be enough, Vista uses 1 GB or something like that so you are only left with 3GB, thats pretty much the same you can use in Windows XP. If you can already make 8GB laptops (precision M6300) then upgrade the M1730 so that we can really start taking advantage of 64 bit apps. I'd like to see a 24 inch model of the XPS One with the following specs: Offer new cheaper SSD's in XPS notebooks Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by redrubberpenguin May 7
Solid state drives have been ridiculously expensive for the last few years. The price is over $15 per GB of storage, as opposed to hard disk drives, which come for even less than $1 per GB of storage at times. But there's no arguing the benefits of SSD's... better performance, quicker boot times, and much better data protection all in exchange for a premium price. LED Backlit Displays for Higher Resolutions for XPS M1530 Monitors and Displays, Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by whitefrost May 14 The release of the LED backlit 1440 x 900 display is great, but needs to be expanded to higher resolutions most notably the 1680 x 1050 resolution which a large number of people use and are most comfortable with. It would not be a threat to the M1730 as you can keep the LED Full HD 1920 x 1200 for it alone. 5 Comments » Add higher screen resolution to all home & home office laptops Monitors and Displays, Laptops submitted by ccpljat Apr 25 I have been using a used [another brand's] business laptop that has a high screen resolution. The cheaper Inspiron laptops can only go up to 1280x800. I cannot be productive on a screen that small any more. At least bump it up to 1440x900 or equivalent. I have basically been forced to shop in the Small Business section to find an affordable computer with a higher screen resolution. 4 Comments » XPS products, Laptops submitted by lilredfoxie 02/16/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
I think theyre needs to be another 15.4" size XPS system, currently the XPS lineup has no middle ground, theres either the m1210 which is too small, or the m1710 which is too large ( I dont count the m2010, since its not really a laptop, its more of its own hybrid desktop/laptop comptuer thing) use the e1505 chassis, give it the cool XPS lights, and a D-dock connectior below Operating Systems submitted by javaprog07 02/17/07 **IMPLEMENTED**
Ok, well I know I may be chastised for bringing this up, but vista is still a young operating system with its own problems etc... I would like to see both Home and Business computers, especially notebooks have an XP Home and Pro option on top of Vista until it has at least been out for a year. For those seasoned users like me who just feel that you need to let a new OS mature before jumping right in. I am planning on buying a new notebook, and I would like to insure I wont have to format it on arrival just to have XP. Would love the ability to have a clean Vista install. No AOL software, no earthlink software, no google software - just a clean, original OS. I find myself many, many times in dark or poorly lit environments having to guess the various keys - would be fantastic to have a backlit keyboard - with backlit individual keys as the best option. Sales Strategies, Laptops submitted by computerroot 03/09/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
