Remove the Limit to the number of ideas displayed - one more area: Search Matches By phubert,  Oct 10, 2009

It has been identified that IdeaStorm has embedded limits to the number of ideas displayed under Recent Ideas (10,000 idea limit?) and that the limit for each user is 10 pages or 200 ideas.

It appears that there is also a 10 page limit for SEARCH matches.

@Dell admins - I think this could be a misunderstanding... I would place this particular "partially implemented" on my other submission. This one is specific to SEARCH matches and they are still limited.

@phubert:  This is what has been Partially Implemented on this idea:

The other idea you are talking about has not been Partially Implemented or Implemented:

Hi, Jackie,

I'm going to disagree with you in a friendly way... the way I phrased the other suggestion was based on a limited understanding of the problem.

Meaning, the other one is actually referring to the software limit (though I did not know that when I posted it) to the total # of ideas the site would display.

Of course it doesn't appear to be the same becaue it is aware of the total # of pages, but won't display any of the ideas from -about- page 500-on.

mmm... so perhaps I'm not actually disagreeing with you after all???

The pages referenced in the other idea aren't actually missing, are they?

If you can give me your understanding of the problem there, I'd appreciate it...

I know this isn't anything critical... at this point it's mostly curiosity, I suppose...

phubert:  We know you are requesting both items and when it is determined what needs to be done to resolve the issue, it will be posted.  My point is, if you recreate what you are asking on the other idea, you still get the same results; therefore, I am not seeing where you feel anything has been implemented on that idea.  On this idea, the number of ideas that are visible has been raised so you can see all of your ideas now.  And it's perfectly fine to disagree, no worries on that, as long as we disagree respectfully and I appreciate the fact that you have and we can :) Thanks!

Forgive me, Jackie. I didn't mean to sound argumentative. I was 'thinking aloud'  simply tying to better understand the nature of the problem and explain that they way I submitted this was only evidence that I hadn't yet understood it!
