Please include Ubuntu 8.10 with your linux systems! 8.04 is outdated. Do you intend to upgrade only when a new LTS comes out? 9.04 is almost here and you're not even up to 8.10. If system 76 and zareason can do it, why not you?

Thanks for you're prompt response, I have a few questions:
1. what is coming 8.10 or 9.04?
2. Approximate date?
3. On the Mini 12 Netbook?

It needs to work on the Mini 12 also.  I'm pretty sure Dell does it across the board though when they update.

Systems with 8.10 are coming soon. I don't have an exact date, but it should be within the next few weeks or so. These will be new systems,...we're not updating the current 8.04 systems to 8.10. Systems with 9.04 should follow in the summer

We're releasing 8.10 only on Inspiron and Studio systems. We're not planning on updating the Mini 12...the OS on the Mini systems is a custom version of 8.04.1 that is specially tuned for the netbooks (special UI, boot time improvements, etc). We'll just be selling the standard 8.10 distro (with our standard minor tweaks) on our more traditional laptops/desktops

I came to idea storm just to find out the answer to this because I'm wanting to purchase a laptop from Dell but am waiting for Ubuntu 8.10 on one.  Thanks  :)

It should be good if you make available for free 8.10 and 9.04 downloadable images for all systems included netbooks.
