ONE user account for ALL Dell sites By winoffice,  Oct 3, 2008

It would be good if the Dell Web sites (main dell.com site, IdeaStorm, Community, Direct2Dell, etc.--in short, all of the sites on the top yellow bar on every IdeaStorm page) would work together in such a way that I would need only one account for all of those sites. To be required to have one separate account for every single Web site is hard and annoying.

Oh, and get rid of the password rules while you are at it. One uppercase, one lowercase letter, I cannot even use letters "w", "i" etc. because they appear in my screen name. That is even more annoying and hard.

It was in fact posted before. But it was deleted for reasons unknown (probably relating to the writer as all of his other ideas were also deleted).

It is in fact being worked. The good news is you should see something with the Dell Community (blogs and forums) and dell.com this year. The bad news is IdeaStorm will not happen until next year. But it will happen! We have discussed Open ID, but do not have any plans to implement that anytime in the near future.

One thing that would also be cool is if you added the option to use our current Dell Pref. Account to make purchases from other Dell Company Web sites (Alienware).

Reason:  Some people value their Credit Scores and the more credit lines or even trying to apply for a credit will lower a persons credit score.
