So if you're running low on gas you have to drive to the gas station to fill it up or you have to carry around a spare gas can. Your laptop would also smell like gas and would be thinker as there is a gas tank in it

With the roller-coaster, up and down of gas prices for fuel for our cars...we don't need the fuss and worry to keep our computers fueled!!!!!!

have you ever heard of a little thing called GLOBAL WARMING? and i agree with james-94's comment.
"So if you're running low on gas you have to drive to the gas station to fill it up or you have to carry around a spare gas can. Your laptop would also smell like gas and would be thinker as there is a gas tank in it."
And the computer would be really thick and heavy, because of the engine and the gas in it. The only good point is using the gas from your car on it, but otherwise, BAD IDEA.

completely backwards. This idea is by the same guy that insists on deleting Linux with a USB powered paint brusher. The same idea must; MUST, also release CFCs into the ozone. Someone is looking for attention and costing money while doing it.

At least the idea wasn't for methane gas. It could have read "when your laptop gets low on energy just fart and the built in collection system stores it in the laptop".

Let's not forget about exhaust emissions and using these laptops in enclosed spaces.

jervis961:You've discovered a potentially perpetual power source. We may never need to plug laptops in ever again!

LOL this thread alone could power the entire world for at least a decade. Methane incidentally explodes with such force the ripple the blast wave makes through the air is actually visible to the naked eye! These would be perfect for Dell. When they explode there'd be no evidence left. Well apart from the smell of eggs. So Dell would never get sued again!
