Dell should produce a special series of notebooks, netbooks, and maybe even desktops, using products they already have, but which showcase the digital camoflauge used by our military services on their combat uniforms instead of the usual reds, blues, pinks, etc normally available on Dell products.Â
Users would have the choice of Army, Navy, Marines, or Air Force digital camo pattern.
The Dell logo, usually chrome, would be black to mimic the "subdued" ranks and insignias on combat uniforms.
Best of all, each laptop sold would generate maybe $10 or $20 towards a scholarship program for the children of military members killed in the line of duty.
Since it's only a cosmetic change, it wouldn't require any substantial design work like a whole new system would.
Dell already does the Komen for the Cure pink laptops, as well as product (RED) units for AIDS. I think the camo-patterned laptops generating money for kids' educations is just as great a cause as either of those.
Please vote this up and ask Dell to fund this worthwhile program!
