I was wondering if there was a way to use kinetic energy to power our devices. I was thinking maybe a ring the stored kinetic energy for the movement of your finger could provide a charge for your phone. I understand the capcity would not be very large but this could be incorperated into bracelets necklaces and or watches. The power could even be swapped through Qi charging so no wires would be needed.

I think this is a great idea! I get tired of charging my phone all the time. It would make it so much easier if we could just use the kinetic energy you are talking about to do it!

It would be awesome if my phone could be charged by my class ring or necklace. That would make going to work and have my phone die just go away because this would fix my problem. I practically have to keep my phone on charge while at work now.

Your idea is some what similar to the one I posted! I talked about maybe using solar energy to power our devices throughout the day, if plugs were not available. Kinetic energy would be an interesting use, and is not something I would have thought of. I do agree that the use of it could be incorporated into multiple different things that could be worn on one's body. Charging our tech products I think is one of the most important things that needs innovating! The traditional plug and short battery life is clearly an issue among users.

I really like this idea, and I think that is a very good job of thinking outside the box.  I wonder if with today's technology that this would be possible.  I for sure thinnk that in the future this is something that could be possible.  But I think you are on to something here.

I like the idea. I'm wondering if it could be charged a way without you having to do something. Like if there was a way that it could store energy through friction while you walk or something.
