This laptop 360 webcam array can be placed on any laptop!

This will be the first of its kind!

To broadcast VR immersive footage online, allow you wherever you are!

Ideally, this new laptop 360 webcam array will be built and the future of the webcams of the laptop will be made entirely!

If this technique can be made small enough for laptops (even 4 directions of the camera (N, E, S, W)) then this 360 camera array also can be used in the future of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) Can be developed! I will continue researching !! Thanks, jb source

I have the Dell S2340T (1080p, touch screen). It has the integrated 1080p Web Cam. Unfortunately occasionally it registers rogue touches along the top of the monitor, messing you up - it might be slightly faulty. But the monitor is the perfect companion for Ultrabooks with few ports - it even has Ethernet. It might be already obsoleted by USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 solutions, but it does work.

It was my first Dell purchase. I despised Dell because my entire impression of Dell was throughout primary and high school - with low-end, budget systems, administered by average IT staff, and also defaced by feral students. But I have come to like them, because I have learned that the real Dell makes good things, at least in the past five or so years. But my point is that Dell has to be careful what they sell to schools. They need to make sure that they don't offer HDD for boot, for a start. School children WILL become frustrated of excessively long boot times before they can work. So despite the price, the entry level should be a small, low-end SSD. Don't taint the childrens' impressions of your brand, Dell, because when they leave school, and start buying, they will hate Dell from their school years.

Idea to bypass web cam patents and introduce a new technology to monitors, tablets, and even smartphones!:

    Dell Laptop 360 Webcam Array!

This Laptop 360 Webcam Array can be mounted on to any laptop!

This will be the first of its kind!

Allowing for you to broadcast VR immersive footage online, wherever you are!

Ideally this new Laptop 360 Webcam Array will be built-in and the future on laptop webcams altogether!

If this technology can be developed small enough for laptops (even just 4 directions of cameras (N,E,S,W)) then this 360 camera array could also be developed into the future of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) as well! I will continue researching!! Thanks, JB.

That's only useful if you don't need to adjust the direction of the camera; if you do, depending on your setup, you may not be able to conveniently move the monitor so people can see you.

I would prefer a camera that is both affordable and high-quality, but compact so you could simply clip it to the top or side of the monitor.

I think that this would be fine in certain applications such as meeting rooms but I would suspect that the majority of my end users would think we were spying on them or the likes. Perhaps it is a good idea for it to be an optional item, perhaps it could be flipped out from a parked position or something along those lines.

    Thanks
