    A trackpad not interfering with typing is not a question of hardware but your software configuration. The driver has palm detection, plus you can run a daemon that disables the trackpad when you are typing.

    Nice configuration, I hope you don't mind a couple of questions,
    What about battery power? Is a lenthy period of time >4hrs running on battery important?
    Why an external vga port and not HDMI?
    If the OS is 64bit, don't you think 8gig of ram would be nessasary?
    Your configuration is right in line with the majority of the suggested configurations except for the few questions above.  Also, like yourself, most folks aren't specing anything about battery life? Considering this a laptop, I would have thought battey life would be at the top of the list?
