My top priorities: 

1. Seamless external monitor auto configuration. Should be able to easily plug and play to many different type/size of high resolution external monitors. 
2. Option to buy 3 year product warranty & support (required by most companies)
3. Offer similar configurable CPU, RAM, disk size as macbook line. 
4. Having 13" option is a must, I like to keep my laptop ultraportable and use big external monitors (thus #1 is my top requirement). 
5. 5+ hours of battery life
