Touchpad Touchscreen for Desktop PCs with Windows 8

For desktop PCs using large flat panel LCD displays, touch screens are not practical.  What's needed is a touchpad touchscreen to replace or supplement the mouse.

It would display what's shown on the large panel and be located next to the keyboard, so the user would not need to reach to implement the Windows 8 user interface.  The touchpad-touchscreen could be made the size of an iPhone or iPodTouch and display the same image as is projected on the large flat panel LCD display.

StigtriX - There have been other companies other than Razer to use a touchpad touchscreen.  I do not think that Razer holds a patent on it but I have not looked into it to say for sure.  I know that I had posted an idea similar to this back in 2008 (before working for Dell) that did not get many votes.

This is the Razer Blade. It has the function you speak of. If DELL wants to use such a keyboard, they would have to pay Razer to be allowed to implement the LCD screen.

Keyboards with the same function also exist, and are also made by Razer:
