you should take a look at the razer blade. it's only 0.88 inches thick with a 2 gb nvidia 660m and weighs only 6.6 pounds. problem is since it's a 17 inch laptop, its not very portable. also, it costs $2,500. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD MAKE A 14 INCH GAMING LAPTOP UNDER AN INCH THICK AND WEIGHS LESS THAN 5 POUNDS ALREADY!!! anyone know any?Dec 7, 2012 Comment Link

There are plenty of laptops out there that are under an inch thick but aren't exlusively for gaming. You can't get much power without the proper cooling which requires a bit of space and is the reason why gaming laptops have to be thicker than your average laptop. Until technology is publically released that can support these demands, we won't be seeing ultrabook Alienware laptops. You should probably be more specific about what you mean by a new keyboard layout.
Agree on the matte display.

I dint think it needs to be ultrabook thin, just under an inch. Laptops more than an inch thick, and this is just a personal preference, are not worth buying. I was thinking of a change in design as well (go to my ideas). Lets try and get alienware to change something.Nov 29, 2012 Comment Link

I don't know about a "complete design change" but certainly a significant update to the design is probably needed to get people to pay attention to Alienware again. They have a good reputation for being beastly gaming rigs, but if you could somehow convince people that they're much sleeker and lighter after updating the design, I think you'd get peoples attention back from all the tablets out there.Oct 11, 2012 Comment Link

I agree! I would love a ultrabook alienware that is nice and thin with sexy design, but still pack a performance. (Meaning it MUST be equiped with dedicated graphics.)Oct 9, 2012 Comment Link
