There are a lot of competing Android tablets out there and companies are trying to differentiate their products in various ways, usually by adding software that nobody wants or odd attachments.  One thing that no vendor has yet to do is to provide Android updates very fast after Google releases new versions of the OS.

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it is a terrific product, but it still has Android 3.1 on it.  Soon it will be getting and update to 4.0, but that is already out of date and I doubt they will bother updating it to 4.1.

Please build a tablet and keep it free of annoying junk software and UI "enhancements" and keep the OS up to date.  I know that will require more development and testing effort but it is also the one area that no other tablet manufacturer does well.  Wouldn't it be nice to be known for being the only Android tablet manufacturer that customers can trust to provide OS updates?

That is not necessarily true. Anyone and any company can upgrade their Android devices if they chose to.

Are you  aware that Dell sold a tablet, at one time?  Google's Android licensing does not include upgrades.  The only company that is currently allowed to have its Android software updated in its products is...Google.
