The reason that Android should be used in laptops because it is a first class citizen on ARM, Different companies (Android OEM) and communities like Linaro are optimizing it. It is a mobile OS and should be snappier on Laptop because of higher hardware specification of Laptop and Desktop compared to Tablets and MobilePhone. The number of application for Android is constantly increasing and developer will have a single OS for mobile, tablets, laptops and desktops.

sahail, Thank you for posting your idea.  What kind of requirements would you have for such a tablet and what would be your uses for it?

Android is the most popular OS because of the price range units with Android are in: you can get cheap or expensive mobile phones and tablets. Windows is still the number one OS when it comes to choice of programs.

It would be interesting to see a laptop with ARM from DELL, but I myself would rather have Windows RT than an unstable Android OS. Android suffers the most due to lack of optimization. This is why it takes so long before units are updated. If DELL made Android laptops with native Android, like the Nexus series from ASUS, it might be a different story. I just wanted to offer a less black and white picture ;)
