Stop Categorizing Ideas as "Under Review" When There Are No Real Plans to Implement Them.

This has been done for years here and it is really quite infuriating. Please be honest with your customers and change the status to something more accurate like "Ignored" or "No Plans".

Thank you.

at lest one idea per day need to be watched by a big team
and set: YEs or NO thats all

but to say "we are listening to our customers that's why we made IdeaStorm"
and then dont take any ideas seriously
is realy not nice be honest

Honestly, Cy_J, your argument regarding the competition is disengenous when Dell never bothers to bring a product to market. And there are ideas on here that are YEARS old that are "under review". I'm pretty certain they're no longer under review by anyone.

I understand your thinking Dimitrios but you can't really pattent most of the ideas here because they are implemental improvements (adding a color or option).  Also it would tip off the competion and give them enough time to react before we  formally announce a finished product.  :)

    Thats tru   Cy_J
but if the *Product is Licensed/Patented i mean secured why not to try to give some improvement shoeses directly
    in the costumers Hands?
is it not the Main idea of Dell direct to the costumer that he started with? :D

Thank you for your input goodbyegoodhair.  I understand the frustration as I felt the same way when I was a site member.  Since being hired by Dell to run IdeaStorm I have learned that the review process is long for a number of reasons.  Since the competition can read this site as well as the participants, it is difficult to share plans until a product is launched using the idea that has been reviewed.  Sometimes it is a simple implementation that takes weeks or months but some ideas are quite complex and take much longer.  I hope this helps you understand the process a little better.
