From the official dell press release - "At that time the company plans to deliver an official developer laptop based on the Dell XPS 13 with Ubuntu 12.04LTS preloaded, available in select geographies" (http://content.dell.com/us/en/corp/d/secure/2012-07-18-dell-sputnik-laptop-cloud-software.aspx).

I don't like the sound of 'select geographies', makes me think people like me in small markets (i.e. New Zealand) are probably going to miss out :(
