Promote

In other words, leave out vim and other silliness like eclipse and just install emacs by default.

    Not sure that I agree that vim equals "silliness" -- most of the code I've written over the past dozen years has been written in vim.

    I'm sure you'd feel the same way if someone tred to convince the team to dump eclipse because they thought it was silly, too.

    Personally, I say dump *all* editors and just let us install what we choose to use.
