Hi, i'm talking about the new Inspiron 17R Special Edition bad quality and poor options, (compared to other prof. 17" laptops)

The thing to remember is that this is the Inspiron model. The Inspiron systems are an entry level systems so will not always have the same components as the XPS. (tell me if I'm wrong)

But there's no upgraded 17 inch XPS. No 3rd gen. The only option for a 17in with 3rd gen is an Inspiron or Alienware. Alienware doesn't work for everyone because it doesn't look very professional (An Alien head) and it's very expensive. So it seems to me that 7720 didn't have a better quality and options compared to the current XPS 15 with 3rd gen, so that.
If you're not going to upgrade XPS 17, then Inspiron needs to have more than entry level options.

Hi, let's start with the incredibly design and look, the aluminum finish and the slim design, (such as the new XPS l521)
let's compare the current 17R with the last XPS17 (l702), the inspiron has only 1 option for i7 processor, although that old xps had like 5 or 6 options, end to end gorilla scratch resistant glass screen, up to 16GB ram ...
and of course, the amazing sound system that was in the xps l702, JBL 2.1 , 22W total.
and there is no single doubt about the excellent durability about the entire XPS range ...
a much better power solutions, a better webcam, the one in the inspirons are HORRIBLE!
And many other things, simply, inspirons are not compared at all to the XPS's!
    thank you for your concern.

    @Cy_J
Hi again, let's start step by step, first I prefer a high performance i7 processor, 8mb cache and min. 2.5Ghz, I use 3D modeling a lot, monatge, design and making films ... etc
I play casual games, not hardcore ones.
So I really prefer a higher upgrade, and a 16GB ram will be very helpful.
Not really interested in the graphic card, but I prefer it GTX660 max.
Of course I have desktop for all that work, but I like to go mobile sometimes.

The sound is also an important feature to me.

The nice looking and professional design scratch resistant screen.
    a good webcam for chatting.

And last but not least, the incredibly amazing design and look is VERY important to me, can't wait to see a XPS17 that looks exactly like the XPS15 (l521).
    Thanks.

What kind of options are you looking for over and above the current offerings on the Inspiron 17R SE?
