Dear Sir / Madam,
Lets consider the two PCs below:
PC 1
Model - Dell 4600
Processor – Intel Pentium 4
RAM - 2.25 GB
HDD – IDE - 160 GB
Win XP (Pro)
Intel Extreme Graphic
Screen Resolution – 1366 X 768
PC 2
Model – Dell Inspiron 660S
Processor – Intel Core 3 - 2120
RAM – 4.00 GB
HDD – SATA - 500 GB
Win 7 (Home Premium)
Intel – HD Graphic
Screen Resolution – 1366 X 768
The visual effect of the above two PC refers.
I notice that PC1 that running on Win XP is having a better visual effect than PC2 that run on Win 7.
PC 2 can have a better visual effect if the user change to a higher resolution screen or set the visual effect as “Best Appearance”. The latter however causes the Win 7 to become unresponsive.
May I know if it is technically possible for Intel to re-design the graphic driver for PC2 to enable it to show a fine screen visual effect as in PC 1? The graphic driver should be able to run different sets os code base on the screen resolution of the users. I would like to put forward for Dell / Intel / Microsost to design this new graphic driver or modify WIn 7 OS if this is feasible.
This is good for the user as he does not need to upgrade to higher resolution screen whenever there is a change in the Operating System. The could have a positive effect on conservation of our environment and cost saving for the users.
Thank you
Low
