This especially applies to the Alienware line up.

The major motherboard makers have moved to offer UEFI based BIOSes with graphical user interfaces that include mouse support.
It'd probably improve Dell's image, if their BIOSes were updated to offer UEFI and a pleasant graphical interface. It doesn't need to be full of flourishes and flair - even something simple, chromeless (ala Met- I mean Windows 8 Style UI) and elegant will do.

Seeing the bright gray and blue BIOS in my M14x kind of felt a little silly - I was at least expecting it to be black and dark blue - so, especially, for the Alienware systems, offering a well designed UEFI GUI BIOS would be good. UEFI also probably would allow expanded functionality.

In regards to functionality, it'd be nice to have a CPUID function (i.e. check what your processor is in the BIOS), memory identifier (SPD reader), GPU detection, a temperature monitor (some people can't even get into Windows to check temperatures if the system is too unstable due to overheating, but the BIOS can boot).
UEFI also is far more integrable with Windows, so for the more extreme systems, it'd be possible to offer a Windows-based suite for controlling BIOS features such as bus-clocks and the like.

Keep moving into the future, so and so.
