Since you are in close co-operation with Canonical and intel, there are some issues with LTS 12.04 that I would like to point out as important for fixes:
1) Keyboards layouts are buggy - can't handle multiple languages properly and some languages have problems when installed (they show up as installed, but the US layout is still in function, regardless of settings)
2) USB headsets are very appealing with laptops due to the more advanced functions and the sound quality they come with(compared to onboard sound cards). Ubuntu has problems with these and freeze when you select the headset as sound driver in sound options.
3) intel HD 3000 and 4000 drivers. intel's drivers are simply not good enough compared to nVIDIA and AMD, with nVIDIA as the best driver provider so far. Please try to push intel into improving the drivers as laptops with intel HD GPUs have become very common

I write this here because these issues have yet to gain enough attention in the official Ubuntu forums. They are important for a stable and complete experience :)
