Dell should allow you to change the colour of backlit keyboard due to changes in taste and preference. Normal white is too boring! and does not look good. Choice of red, purple, green or orange would be nice.

If you really like LED customization, I would recommend ALIENWARE. I doubt DELL will put effort where it's not needed. The XPS series is aimed at users with demands when it comes to build quality and performance. Although customization is nice, at least I feel that such a feature would feel "tacky" on a premium device from the XPS series.StigtriX
If you don't care about voiding your warranty, you can search for a LED modification kit or get a custom PC builder company to do it for you :)
