Ultrabooks are way too expensive.
Dell has one for $699 to 1099. But that is still way too expensive.
A very thin 10 inch High Definition LED Display should be 499.
Please make it so

The real problem behind this is that the ultrabook specification to begin with is unrealistic, given the targeted price. The ultrabook concept, if you wanted to apply it to a system at $500, would be non-profit for Dell, or any other manufacturer. It'd be a massive loss.
But, if you want a ten inch ultra thin 10" notebook computer with an Atom/ARM processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory, yes, why not, sounds feasible to me.

There could be a potential, and as of yet, missed market for that. If DELL used the current DELL XPS 13 molds and made a new one in plastic only, it would shave off some of the price. Include a 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and the current 720p display. Include a charger only - no extras. The box itself should be minimalistic and the manual as thin as possible.StigtriX
Include programs from partners etc. to lower the prices even more. Make sure the programs add value and are not considered as candidates for the first items to go into the recycle bin.
