Dell should acquire RIM and replace Blackberry os with Android. Dell should start selling Android based Blackberry phones and Tablets with enhaced security, BBM, and productivity applications.

That would be a bold move, taking the declining BB users into consideration. The stock price is going down, down and down, so it would be cheap to aquire RIM now. I don't know if the risk involved would be worth it, but RIM has many valuable patents, especially when it comes to security. This could maybe also be applied to laptops etc. from DELL.StigtriX Comment Link
I think a professional stock analyst should take a look for DELL :)

No, no... The whole point of a Blackberry is the Blackberry OS. Might as well Dell continue to make their own Android devices, or license BBX. Blackberry has announced that it is willing to license its OS.Aug 12, 2012 Comment Link

RIM is still has a well recognised and respected BB brand that could be levereged by DELL if promoted correctly in the market. They can also start selling Tablet/Laptops hybrid just like ASUS Transformer Prime under the BB brand with Android OSAug 4, 2012 Comment Link

RIM could easly be saved. They make great hardware.Get rid of the proprietary os. Build on android. And put in military-grade encryption. For business customers.
