paper size accepted by Laser printer 3115 cn

I use a color laser 3115cn. The main problem I have is that I cannot print notes to a 3x5 or 4x6 index card without choosing an envelope close to the size card I want to use and then adjust the margins. Why can't DELL make index cards an acceptable size to print to.

    You should be able to edit any custom paper size you wish in the printer setup (in the driver) and store it for future use. Depending on the software (OS and application) you're using, that should address the issue. Dell support may be able to help with this issue if you try to contact them (ability to supporrt may vary depending on what apps/OS you are using, etc).
