So, Dell Ultrabook is obviously weak.
The reasons are:
1) Too heavy. 2kg is too much for an ultrabook, which has to be around 1.2-1.4 kg
2) No need for a CD/DVD drive. It occupies too much space.
3) Screen resolution
4) Weak design
So, let's fix all the problems.
First of all, we have to use light materials. Titanium, Aluminium or Carbon are the best here, as they are light and hard. There is also a new material called Graphene, but i'm afraid it would be too expensive.
Using these materials will greatly reduce the weight of the ultrabook.
Secondly, gave up the DVD drive. It takes up too much space and gives very little benefit. It's also quite heavy as well
3) 1366x768 resolution is too weak. Competitors offer 1600x900 or even full HD screens, so here it has to be strong too. I'd recommend going for full HD, to gain advantage.
4) It has too many parts. The keyboard is different from the body. The backside color is different from the body color. I'd suggest mixing keyboard part and trackpad with whole body, so that they appear to be part of it. Though they have to be defined a little.
Finally, instead of a DVD drive, you may place Graphics system there

Too much money. $499 is better.
