With a so much hype and focus these days on mobile gaming as well as the emergance of cloud based gaming, perhaps Dell is in a good position to get into the game but with a twist. Why not develop a system that allows us to stream games from our Alienware computer to our tablets or other mobile devices - a private OnLive service. If you aren't familiar with it, OnLive has a service that allows you to stream and play games from their library to your tablet.
It might be a licensing nightmare and would require things like integrating our Steam or Origin accounts to prevent scaring off developers.
How cool would be be to be sitting in a coffee shop, tapping an Alienware app on your tablet that sparks up your computer back home that would stream any compatible game you own to you.
Alienware has always been synonomous with gaming hardware, maybe it's time to dip into software.

This is a nice idea. Dell needs to look at how Splashtop GamePad THD works and make their own streaming service with even better properties. Maybe buy the company? :)StigtriX

@ Cy_JCertainly not all games would be a good fit interface-wise. MMO's with 57 key-binds would be tough to implement. A more natural fit would be strategy games that rely on a lot on mousing. Most PC games these days are designed to work with the same amount of input keys as a gaming console game pad - much to the chagrin of PC gamers.
Emulating a mouse on a touchscreen seems pretty standard fare. I think Dell's recent aquisition, Wise Technology makes a PC remote desktop application with an excellent touchscreen interface. As for game-pads they can easily be emulated using an on-screen overlay - again see OnLive.

Thanks for the idea Block65. I have heard of OnLive but haven't looked into it. Any suggestions on how to compensate for the lack of a keyboard and mouse?
