Pain Area: Paucity of meeting rooms with projectors cause people to run here and there to find a room with a projector
Solution: Build the projector into the laptop itself. This will solve the problem of running around to find the room as projector is in built into the laptop itself. The only thing that is required now is find a room with a white wall and you are ready to go.

I understand there are challenges around the heating of the projector bulb but am sure there have been technological advances in the projector bulb which will run cooler than it was earlier. Also, it is now possible for mobiles to have projectors, so why can't the same technology be used in laptops instead where it wouldbe more useful.Apr 15, 2012 Comment Link

Having an Built in Projector would have issues. I think there would be a heat issue, causing more problems that if the unit was seperate.pudgyone

The R+D expense would not prove worthwhile. Too, from the texture of a trackpad, to the reflectivity of a surface, there is little common ground. There are several inexpensive handheld projectors available.expatinasia

People don't realise how large they actually need to be; the aperture alone on even the most affodable ceiling-mounted projectors are about 3cm in diameter.Hyncharas
Perhaps the solution here might be some sort of foldaway projector that streams data from the laptop via USB, but make it the size of a small dictation machine. This would then compete with 3M's own product that sells for a little over £150.
