Currently, there is a very small selection available and when consumers compare it to hp, they choose hp since they offer more choices and price levels.  Dell needs to offer its entire home line to retail stores.  And offer about four simple price ranges for each model.  For example, $300, $500, $700, $900.  Try to put the best specs within each price range so consumers can easily compare prices and specs.  No more funky $563.99 laptop with weird specs, rather the $500 laptop with specs that are around the same range.  Instead of Core 2 quad with 1gb ram, more like core 2 duo with 2gb ram.  Make specs make sense.  And next to the dell computer section at retail stores have signs everywhere explaining everything offered here and more selections available at dell.com some consumers won't think that's all dell has to offer.  Compete with HP!!  SIMPLE PRICING, MORE SELECTION, BETTER CHOSEN SPECS FOR RETAIL!  a lot of people buy retail.
