I like the idea. Perhaps adding some personality to our profiles may increase participation in the community. No, this is not a "social networking" site, but it is still a community. Finding ways to build up that community are a good thing.
Now, just be careful not to ruin the site in the process like what happened with the Dell Support Forums. I still miss going there. :(
I like the idea and it is a function included in many forum sites. This is like a forum in many ways since we start a discussion with the idea and people can post opinions as responses. The only difference is the prominent use of voting on the posts. After interacting with several people here I think it would be interesting to have a little more information on their background. Such information gives you a greater sense of who you are dealing with and some of their motivation behind the comments and voting. Obviously adding personal information wouldn't be mandated so if someone doesn't want to give out the info they wouldn't have to.

That would be great if they did fix it. I will remain skeptical but hopeful. :)Dec 4, 2009 Comment Link

Elkar, they are in the process of fixing the support forums. Give them a few months and then take another look.Dec 4, 2009 Comment Link
