I would really appreciate the option to replace the optical drive with an 64/128GB SSD (depending on tier). Keep the original 1 or 2TB HDD in there, so the SSD wouldn't have to be big, just set up as the primary drive for the OS and program installs.
Thinking about it, the front panel would have to be sourced without a media drive slot, but I think it would actually be a boon to the overall look of the device, and the cost of which could be folded into the upgrade option price.
