An a4 kindle like device for pdfs especially journal articles. 

Dell should make one and include software/ automatically convert pdfs to the format of the reader. This software must remove any white background from the pdf and display the background as grey as the kindle does so it is easy to read. It must have a good battery life also.

This reader otherwise needs to display the page exactly as it is laid out in the pdf format, be in the text or images (in grey scale). Would also be good to have bookmarks and search functionality in the software. This will reduce the large volume of articles printed in academia and industry, hence will be environmentally friendly.

It would be useful also if Dell collaborated with Mendeley to link papers with the Mendeley library (or even an export tool built into Mendeley to add/remove papers from this device).

Storage on this device should be via SD cards (I would recommend, using an SD card as then one can have multiple SD cards).
