btw the place under the display can be great used for laptop or keyboard/mouse to hide if u need a little more space on the table to draw /work..
i like it and i dont care abaut cables -..- :D

My Dell monitor has the USB ports on the left side or bottom depending on if I am using it in portrait or landscape mode.

its mostly for USB sticks and lazy people like me ^^

I don't think this is a good idea. How many people want to change the connecting wires every day? Many people may not even touch it for days or months together, once the desktop is installed. Further, the wires showing in the front would take out the look of the monitor and will make it look very messy.

However, as seen in some new TVs, a USB port, which can play movies from popular formats may be advisable in the Monitors (I am not making a new post for that as 'my idea', but, I think it will be useful for many, if the technology permits)

for keyboard mouse usb sticks 2 , external hd what ewer.
.
1 thunderbold or hdmi to connect laptop faster and easyer
(yes i sayd laptop cos if u using desktop then the connector can be placed on the back side, the thing never moves anivay ^^
so 1 on the back 1 on the downfront for laptop

headset thingy mic speaker frontdown
yes tis got cable, but headset got cables so learn to live wit it -.-
