It would be nice to see Dell put the windows product key in a place where it dose not wear off or in a way they won't wear off. I have come accrossed too many notebook computers where the key is unreadable. Also, on the Dells the recovery process is horible. People would be better off ordering a system without an OS and buy Windows seperatly and loading it themselves.

If you install/reinstall the operating system using a Dell OEM Disk, no product key is needed.

Can you explain a bit more about the issues you have had with recovery system?
