My XPS15z  uses a powerful SecureCore Tiano BIOS- however Dell has seen fit to disable/block/hinder/hamstring a lot of the functionality availible. Things that work "out of the box" on this BIOS are disabled.  For example, this BIOS supports GPT, but Dell has disabled it.

Headache after headache has been caused by my inability to use basic features that are included by default and Dell has disabled. Let me use my system to it's fullest potential so I can continue to buy Dell branded equipment and not have to go to another vendor that lets me manage my own destiny.
