This is just a simple idea that I'm sure Dell have already considered (Or implemened but I'm not aware of).
I usually buy a new laptop and desktop every 2 or 3 years. I sometimes purchase accessories for them such as speakers, extra memory, etc.
I have purchased my last 2 laptops from Dell. Relatively high spec laptops around €1700 each.
Now I'm currently consiering buying a new Desktop and Laptop but feel Dell offer me no incentive to purchasig from them (Taking base price out of the equation which obviosly is ver y important in it's own right).
If there was some form of loyalty points that you could accumulate then I believe it would encourage people to buy more accessories and base systems with the goal of maybe eventually been able to get a Desktop with a large price reduction based on their loyalty points accumulated.
Maybe it is simply that Dell is not too concerned with building up loyalty with indivuall customers and that they are more interested in bulk sales to companies, corporations, etc?
Anyway.......that's my first idea for you Dell! ;)
Looking forward to people's thoughts on this.
Thomas
