XPS 8500: Don't describe Graphics as High-End, Unless They're High-End

Seriously, describing an AMD 7770 as "high-end?" I mean, C'MON, man!

The 7770 is a good card, but it's an entry-level gaming card, not

Dell, you keep pairing relatively weak GPUs with excellent i7 CPUs. Step it up a bit, since you've killed off your 9xxx series.

You keep leaving a huge empty price point for those of us who'd like a bit more muscle in our GPUs, but don't want to spend what it costs for Alienware.

You're not sending people on to Alienware's choices, you're making them look elsewhere.

You should have at least, at current pricing, the 7850 as an option; I understand where you're trying to price things, and with the new generations of cards out, pricing is still high enough to limit the cards, but I'll bet you'd be surprised at the number of people who'd go for a better card here. Maybe the nVidia 660 when it comes out will be price friendly enough?

You still haven't filled the hole in your line-up, including Alienware, since killing off your 9xxx line of products to warrant going for a 7870 or even nVidia 670.

    I agree when it comes to GPU choice. There should be some high-end alternatives. And as you say, many are attracted to the XPS 8500's design, but want more power. ALIENWARE equals stylish design, but it's not for everyone.

    7850 and GTX 670 would be two nice additions.
