My points go up and down!!!

I have noticed that my points are going up and down and i don't know why.... are postings being demoted?

    Ga Ga ..until today early morning before 4.00 a.m , my points were 750, but now it's been reduced to 622. Y is that so?

    Dell_Admin 1, By the way, why is there a score down for demotion?...it sounds meaningless. It is absolutely each and every ones's wish to promote or demote. I think everyone has the right to express their ideas over here. You mean to say that if a topic states " Dell lags behind in technology/ lost it's market value " or something like that Juzz for these marks "should I promote? to gain 10 points" "If I demote I should loose 10 points?" I will go ahead to demote , I dont mind loosing 10 points. Dell_Admin1, I think you should be a little more encouraging in this site. Plz do not turn this site into a demotivating site. This is totally unacceptable..., whenever you do even a small thing let it be fair plzzz...

    dell_admin10 since when does a demotion remove 10 points. Check with dell_admin1 but I'm pretty sure that's not true. Unless you've just implemented it?

    @sangelnet: Idea Points increase and decrease as the community weighs in on your idea. A promotion adds 10 points and a demotion removes 10 points from the total. For more on how the points work, check out the moderator update link.
