Ubuntu Linux version 8.10 will be released on October 30th, 2008. Dell has made leaps and bounds in terms of adoption of Linux. Here is an opportunity for Dell to announce their roll-out schedule for selling this OS onto their new products.
On the Ubuntu site, you can find their release schedule for the product launch: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IntrepidReleaseSchedule
I hope Dell will put together a similar schedule outlining their plans. Here is a great opportunity to increase transparency for Dell Linux customers. I would expect the normal disclaimers that is just a draft schedule and is subject to change, etc. I don't think such disclaimers significantly dampen the value of such an open document. Evening having something would be great for your dedicated customers.

Wow they're cutting it fine. Looks like 8.10 could become 8.11 if they hit snags at this late stage.
